In Sa Dong - The Art Centre of Korea

Crap!!!!! My mom finally decided to read my website and she loved it! You might ask why I would say crap to that? Well my mother told her sister (the Aunt I am staying with) how bored I was in Dae Jeong and I think she was little sad about what i said.

Oh Well.

I went to Seoul yesterday with my aunt and sure enough we went to another tea ceremony. (oh God shoot me now) The only cool part about this tea ceremony was it was held at this very well known traditional korean garment making house. These traditional Korean garments are called Hanbok and are mainly used for special occasion such as weddings. Most Hanboks today are made from cheap materials because they are only worn once or twice a year. However this place was a designer Hanbok place. An analogy that best describes this place, would be like going to Vera Wang's store and getting a wedding dress (I'm sure the ladies got that one). There were some Hanbok's worth close to $10,000. So guess what I did with them? I decided to wear them and start doing the robot dance!

Luckily I never damaged one.

I almost look distinguished.

So most of my friends make fun of me for carrying around a huge dSLR. And I thought when I went to Korea (The land of super small cameras and cell phone cameras) I would be looked at funny as well. I was dead wrong. Let me give you an example. I stood at one corner of this market and decided to take as many shots of people with dSLRs slung around their neck. In less then 15 seconds I captured a crap load of people. Asian's take their photography very seriously and using the best equipment to take them is no exception here in Seoul. Young couple in particular always buy a dSLR so they can take pictures of themselves and post on CyWorld (Korean Facebook). Here you go, 15 seconds of finding people with dSLRs.

I think he was taking pictures down girls shirts....... Horrible.... absolutely Horrible...that I didn't think of it first!
