More Side Dishes, These Are Not Enough!

On June 22, I was trying to sleep mid afternoon due to the muggy and hot weather but then my aunt woke me up to go to a sight seeing Buddhist temple. I really didnt want to go because I knew next week I was gonna get the full experience, but she promised me food so I decided to mosey along.

I got some nice shots while I was there, but I had a moment of zen/epiphany/clarity as I checked out one room in particular. I went inside the prayer room with 3 huge golden statues and plastered everywhere was "no pictures allowed". It made me realize that by putting my eye to the glass for the last year I have lost the ability to experience the moment for what it is, instead I've been only looking at events in my life as photo opportunities and nothing more. It was the first time I actually felt like a whore for trying to take shots of everything. Why don't I just experience the moment and enjoy it for what it is? When I left the room I felt glad that I never took a picture of the prayer room, and I hope I never feel the need too.

However, that being said I did take pictures of the other decorative rooms that were meant for tourist and where photography was allowed. (Guess my moment of Zen was short lived. ) (Sad on my part)

So I went to eat at this restaurant and my Aunt insured me that I would enjoy this restaurant. So we go into this room and waited for about 10 minutes and there was no table in sight. Then all of a sudden 2 women came in carrying a huge table with all the food already on it. There were so many dishes that it made more logistical sense to bring the whole table then a couple dishes at a time.
